Sometimes known as a Cuban lily it originated from Peru.
Scilla Peruviana are easy to grow and produce an amazing rosette of broad leaves, 20 - 30cm long, out of which emerges a broad conical raceme, 100mm across, of purple blue flowers with white anthers. Prefers semi-shade but full sun is ok. Keep well watered in Summer. Excellent as a border plant.
